Presence is in your future

Life isn’t easy – and for those driven to perform, deliver their best and exceed expectations, that intensity often spills into everyday life. But when constant effort – or the occasional life twist – leads to unfamiliar self-doubt, exhaustion, or a deep sense of dissatisfaction, it can be disorienting. High achievers aren’t used to feeling this way, and yet they often find themselves quietly asking, “How can I feel better?”

About Kristi

I’m an International Coaching Federation (ICF) competencies and values trained coach, with designations as both a Certified Life Coach (CLC) and Certified Executive Coach (CEC). And I’m looking forward to us working together on a shared journey, which is all about YOU.

Me? Before I got into coaching, I was a people-first leader with experience helping rapidly-growing organizations thrive by building strong teams and healthy, supportive cultures as they scale from startup to corporate.

My work has spanned every area of HR—from hiring and succession planning to performance development and change management, but what’s always mattered most to me is creating environments where people can do their best work and still have space for their full lives.

Helping people navigate careers and coaching them to greatness has been part of my job from day one. I’ve had the privilege of serving on executive teams and helping shape big-picture strategy, and been recognized and honored by multiple organizations for my work. But the real success, for me, has come from collaborating openly, and showing up with energy, authenticity, and drive that is balanced with clarity and care.

As a lifelong Kansas Citian, giving back to my community is deeply important. I’ve spent more than 30 years volunteering with Kansas City PBS and over 15 years on the board of the Legacy Foundation for the Arts. Outside of work, I’m a proud mom of two incredible adult kids, a longtime runner, and someone who’s navigated a lot of life, including divorce after a 30-year marriage and an unexpected late-career pivot.

Through it all, I’ve (finally!) learned that balance isn’t a destination, it’s a daily practice.

CLIENT PERSPECTIVES

It’s rare you meet someone who genuinely helps you consider angles to a situation or problem in ways you’ve never considered.

Kristi is a model of positivity.  Some positivity is disingenuous, even toxic.  Kristi helps you see things as they are, but still find the positive or opportunity.  Her advice is considerate, pragmatic and honest — meant to help challenge your limits constructively.

— Greg S.

Kristi has been a phenomenal resource both personally and professionally.  She provided me with knowledge and developmental tools that made a difference in how I handle conflict, negotiation, and decision making.  Not to mention, she gave me the gift of being able to view things from a different perspective and confidence. I credit Kristi with helping me find a new job (my dream job) and more peace in my personal life.

FAQS

What is coaching and how can I benefit from it?

Coaching, as defined by the ICF, is a journey of unlocking potential and creating lasting change. Think of it as driving toward your goals with a trusted navigator beside you—your coach—helping you see new paths, stay focused, and push further than you imagined. Through powerful questions and dialogue, coaching fuels creativity, growth, and transformation in both life and work.

I offer two types of coaching: Personal Coaching, which supports areas like relationships, career, self-esteem, finances, and creativity—helping you build the life you want; and Business & Executive Coaching, which guides leaders, entrepreneurs, and organizations in areas such as growth, strategy, team building, and leadership development.

Together, we’ll craft your new narrative. Using proven ‘tools’, we will navigate challenges and transitions, moving you past exhaustion or feeling stuck. You’ll begin to see that the outcomes you’ve been hoping for are well within your reach. My methods encourage self-discovery; of course I’ll push a bit, but we move at a pace you’re comfortable with. And I work within a professional framework to ensure the highest ethical standards and confidentiality.

We’ll start with a complimentary 20-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit. If we decide to move forward, you’ll complete an intake form that gives a snapshot of your current situation. This will help us map out where to begin and where you want your journey to take you.

That depends on what you’re wanting to achieve from the coaching! There are clients who may be able to achieve their goals over the course of 3-4 sessions, while others may benefit from a longer-term engagement. Together, we’ll identify what works best for what you’re seeking.

From the ICF report, it’s also evident that employees at every level appreciate coaching, with high approval from both senior executives (78%) and employees (73%).
